Windward SeaVenture is offering a 1 week sailing camp for youth (Ages 10 – 16). This class will be taught by our highly experienced captain/instructors. The course will cover a thorough introduction to sailing and basic operation of a keelboat. We will complete the course aboard a 23′ tiller boat which is the perfect size for youth to learn on. For students aged 14 and up, we are offering an optional opportunity to take the American Sailing Association 101 class certification test. On the last day of the camp, the students will participate in a mini regatta on Clear Lake. Space will be available on one of our vessels for parents and spectators to view Friday’s regatta. $700/student with ASA 101 certification
Camp Itinerary:
Day 1: Classroom learning basic sailboat parts, terminology, and what to expect on the water
Day 2 -3: On the water practical application
Day 4: Optional ASA 101 test and sailing/regatta practice
