Anyone with just a little experience! You will want to have at least been on a sailboat a few times before joining the team or have completed the ASA 101 class. You don’t have to be an expert or even know a lot. You are going to get hands on learning during the race to refresh your skills and learn some new ones.

$200.00/person for a non WSV club members OR $150.00/person for WSV Club Members
What Do I Need To Bring?
You will need to bring sunscreen, a hat, sailing gloves, water or any other beverage of your choice. We do allow alcohol on the boat for at the end of the race. Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes as you will be moving around the boat a lot.

What is this about?
This is an opportunity to join up with some experienced racers and learn a new aspects of sailing that you just don’t get with chartering. We have a group of 3 – 4 sailors who, together, have over 30 years racing on various kinds of boats. Windward SeaVenture is offering open spots on the boat for the Rum Races. Things you could learn about during the race include, trimming the sails, hoisting and dousing the spinnaker, tactics, race starts & more!
